  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1.5 cups unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 packages 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 4 large Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Caramel topping (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Pour melted butter over the mixture and mix until crumbly. Set aside 2 cups for topping.
  4. Press remaining mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time.
  7. Combine apples, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  8. Layer apple mixture over baked crust.
  9. Spread cream cheese mixture over apples.
  10. Sprinkle reserved oat mixture over top and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  11. Let cool, then drizzle with caramel topping before serving.
