Preparation Steps
- Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt to a medium bowl and whisk together. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar until combined.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, whisk until well combined. Mix in mashed bananas.
- Fold in the dry ingredients just until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips until dispersed throughout the dough.
- Refrigerate the dough for at least 2-3 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
- Scoop 2-tablespoon portions onto the prepared baking sheet. Optional: press additional chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove and cool on a wire rack.
- Enjoy your cookies once cooled!
