  • 1.75 teaspoons adobo seasoning or garlic salt
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.33 cup green pitted olives
  • 0.25 cup brine from olives
  • 0.25 small red bell pepper sliced into thin strips
  • 0.5 medium onion sliced into thin strips
  • 0.333 cup cumin

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Season the cubed steak with adobo seasoning or garlic salt.
  2. Add sliced onions and peppers to the instant pot. Pour in tomato sauce and water, then add olives along with some of the brine. Add seasoned beef, cumin, and bay leaf.
  3. Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes. Let natural release, then switch to sauté mode and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Alternatively, for slow cooker: cook on low for 8 hours. For stove top: sauté the onions and peppers, then add liquids and beef, simmer covered on low for 1 hour until tender.
