Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 large Granny Smith apples sliced
  • 35 large marshmallows
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 35 pieces caramels unwrapped
  • 1 tablespoon evaporated milk or half and half
  • 0.25 cup peanuts chopped
  • 0.25 cup mini semi-sweet morsels
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Slice apples and arrange them in a single layer on a serving platter.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the marshmallows and butter together, stirring constantly until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unwrapped caramels and evaporated milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the caramels are fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Set aside.
  4. Drizzle the melted marshmallow mixture generously over the apple slices. Then, drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the marshmallow. Finally, drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with chopped peanuts and mini chocolate chips. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use tart apples like Granny Smith. If you prefer a thinner caramel sauce, add a little more evaporated milk. You can also substitute other nuts like pecans or walnuts, or add sprinkles for extra flair.
