Caramel Apple Pie Bombs

Delicious soft biscuit balls filled with warm apple pie filling and caramel, coated in cinnamon sugar. Perfect for quick dessert cravings.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can biscuits 7.5 oz can from Walmart, smaller than Pillsbury
  • 1 can apple pie filling 21 oz can
  • 10 individually wrapped caramels Cut in half long ways
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • for vegetable oil for frying
  • optional Caramel sundae topping

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Fill a deep saucepan with enough vegetable oil to fully submerge the dough balls. Heat on medium until hot.
  2. Mix granulated sugar with ground cinnamon and set aside.
  3. Flatten biscuits using fingers or a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Place 1 tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each biscuit circle.
  5. Add a halved caramel on top of the apple filling.
  6. Pinch and seal the edges of the dough around the caramel and filling, shaping into a ball.
  7. Carefully lower dough balls into hot oil and fry until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Remove from oil and immediately roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Place on a plate.
  9. Serve warm, optionally drizzled with caramel topping.

Notes
