  3. In a separate large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool on wire racks before serving.
