Preparation Steps
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
