Preparation Steps
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender and browned, about 8-10 minutes.
- Transfer mushrooms to a bowl. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, season with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and hamburger seasoning. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in cooked mushrooms. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare the cheese sauce: In a saucepan, melt 0.5 cup of butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until slightly browned.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, continue whisking until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add salt and garlic powder, then stir in shredded Swiss and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Combine cooked noodles with the beef and mushroom mixture. Pour cheese sauce over and mix thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
