  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, confectioners' sugar, salt, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 20 minutes, then remove and let cool to room temperature.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly golden.
  8. Let cool completely before slicing into bars and serving.
