Shrimp and Garlic Butter
  • 0.5 kg shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.125 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.25 cup white wine optional
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup parsley fresh, chopped
  • 0.5 lemon juice freshly squeezed

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and sizzling.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  5. If using, pour in the white wine and let it bubble for about 30 seconds to reduce slightly.
  6. Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice. Toss to coat the shrimp.
  7. Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
