  • 4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1.5 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  2. Pat dry the chicken breasts with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and paprika.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the hot skillet and cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165F.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet during the last 2 minutes of cooking and baste the chicken to keep it moist.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
