Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese not pre-grated, using the large holes of a box grater
  • 0.75 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 0.75 teaspoon minced dried onion flakes
  • 0.75 teaspoon minced dried garlic flakes
  • 0.75 teaspoon poppy seeds

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Spoon 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese onto the prepared baking sheet. Lightly pat it down with your fingers to form a round shape, about 4 inches in diameter. Leave about 1/2 inch of space between each crisp.
  3. Repeat with the remaining cheese to make 4 rounds.
  4. Bake for 3 minutes, or until the edges are just starting to turn golden.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the sesame seeds, dried onion flakes, dried garlic flakes, and poppy seeds.
  6. Sprinkle about 3/4 teaspoon of the seed mixture evenly over each Parmesan round.
  7. Bake for another 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Let cool completely on the baking sheet before eating, as they will crisp up further as they cool.
