  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 4 units hamburger buns
  • to taste Butter (for toasting buns)
  • optional Pickles for serving

Preparation Steps
  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the meat. Stir well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. While the meat mixture simmers, toast the hamburger buns with butter in a preheated oven at 400°F for 4-8 minutes until golden.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches by spooning the meat mixture onto the toasted buns, topping with pickles if desired. Serve hot.
