  • 3 lb potatoes (peeled and halved)
  • 2.5 cups cabbage (coarsely chopped)
  • 6 cloves garlic (whole)
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp salted butter
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish green onions (optional)

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Add potatoes, cabbage, garlic, and chicken bouillon cubes to a large pot of water on the stove. Boil until potatoes are cooked, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Drain the pot. Add cream cheese, milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth. Transfer to a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Cover.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
