  • 3 pounds potatoes
  • 2.5 cups cabbage
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • green onions for garnish, optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Add potatoes, cabbage, garlic, and chicken bouillon cubes to a large pot of water on the stove. Boil until potatoes are cooked, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Drain the pot. Add to the pot the cream cheese, milk, butter, sour cream, and salt and pepper. Mash until smooth. Transfer to a greased 3-quart casserole dish.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes. Garnish with green onions if desired.
