  • 1.25 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp ground paprika
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.25 tsp turmeric
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.125 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 0.25 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp minced fresh garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely minced fresh cilantro

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Let salmon rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, whisk together coriander, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper then sprinkle and rub with the spice mixture.
  5. Cook the salmon about 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Plate and set aside.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve alongside the salmon.
