  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups peanut butter melted

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, add butter, brown sugar, and vanilla. Cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix at low speed until combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Press half of the dough into the prepared baking dish in an even layer. Set aside the remaining dough.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Spread melted peanut butter over the baked layer.
  8. Form small discs with remaining dough and place over the peanut butter layer.
  9. Bake for an additional 20-23 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
