  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup sour cream (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup mini chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Mix butter, egg, and cake mix in a bowl until a thick dough forms. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Mix in sugar, egg, sour cream, and vanilla until no lumps remain. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour over the red velvet layer.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes until edges turn brown and center jiggles slightly. Cool completely then chill for at least 4 hours before slicing.
