Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined. Add pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and orange juice, and whisk until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cover with foil halfway if the top browns too quickly.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
