- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Add diced green chiles, chopped bell pepper, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cilantro, and chicken broth. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
- After cooking, remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Add black beans, chopped cilantro (reserve some for garnish), and diced scallions. Stir well and cook for an additional 10 minutes to heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced avocado, lime wedges, cilantro, scallions, and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
