Preparation Steps
  1. To a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add water and sugar.
  2. Bring to a boil and stir until all sugar has dissolved (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
  4. Allow the syrup to cool. Then, transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate. This makes about 1.5 cups of vanilla syrup.
